e-mail littlelamb | Does anyone know what date analogue will be switched over to TDT here? | virtualvoyager68 replied on 12/11/2009 at 19:32 e-mail virtualvoyager68 | Fase I is switched in 49 days and Fase II in 143 days.
You can check your coverage here by entering your postal code. http://www.televisiondigital.es/Terrestre/Cobertura/
Most areas on the Costa Del Sol are already covered by TDT. Good advantage as you can actually get some programs in VO, i.e. US-EN, UK-EN, or language of origin of the tv show, series. Some channels only send with Spanish dubbed version unfortunately, but a huge improvement if you do not have a satellite dish.
You can pick up a TDT box in most computer shops, as well as all electronic shops. Worten and PC City as well as Carrefour has good prices. And you can get a device for your TV or for your pc starting around 24 euros or even cheaper. You can even buy one in the Post office. Devices which has RECording ability can also be bought for as little as 45 EUR plus (usually requires that you have an SD card, usb key/drive or external usb harddisk to plug in).
Cheers
