any ideas for recipes which use lots of plums? my tree is packed with very ripe ones and i feel the need to use them up!!

I always have loads of plums and make plum jam but what is also nice is yellow plum chutney. Just use a mango chutney recipe but you may want to add some honey to weeten it a bit more or add more spice. Just play around with the ingredients its quick and keeps for ever if in sterlised jars.

I also make red plum puree and add cinamon it makes a great jus made with red wine to serve with meat

Plum jam is always a winner in my books, but what about doing some plums preserved in your favourite tipple too? If you make them now, they'll be perfecto at christmas.
