Pre-Requisites
We recommened that prior to attending the CCA Presentation
Server 4.0 Plus Combo (CTX-1256 + CTX-1251 + AD) course that
our students complete several foundational concept "e-learning"
courses. These courses are listed below:

*The following is an optional pre-requisite but it is also
strongly recommende:
- CTX-1307AW Citrix Access Gateway 4.1: Administration
The "e-learning" courses mentioned above are availible
online and are approximatly 2 hours in length with a review
test at the end. The elearning courses cover Independent Management
Architecture (IMA), Citrix Licensing Services and the License
Management console (LMC), and the Access Suite Console that
spans farms and Citrix products (ASC). The instructor-led class
will touch on these topics, and any questions can be answered,
but the instructor is not given 4 hours to go over the material.
Rather, it is expected that the students will take the elearning
exam on their own BEFORE coming to the CCA Presentation Server
4.0 Plus Combo (CTX-1256 + CTX-1251 + AD) class, in order to
get the most out of the learning experience. |

Day-by-Day Schedule :
Each day starts at 8 AM, and ends at 8 PM. Training is provided
from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a half-hour lunch break at noon. From
5 PM to 8 PM, intensive test preparation is provided. On four
of the days, students can take the certification exams (this
is optional, but is recommended).
Day 1 - 2
- Custom Accelerated
- CTX-1256AI-Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Administration
- Install & Config of PS 4.0, ICA Client s/w distribution
& cfg, Application, Desktop, and Content Publishing,
Administration tools, Load Balancing, Printing, Securing
and deploying apps over the web using Web Interface 4.0
and Citrix Secure Gateway 3.0
Day 3 - 4
- CTX-1306AI - Citrix Access Gateway 4.2 with Advanced
Access Control: Administration - Hands-on in-depth installation
and configuration of the AAC 4.2 server to configure “SmartAccess”
(the ability for organizations to grant the same users different
levels of access depending on the user’s access scenario;
policy-based situational or contextual access control)
Day 5
- CTX-1326AI - Citrix Password Manager 4.0: Administration
- Password Manager 4.0 installation and configuration,
Application Definitions, Password Manager 4.0 Advanced Features,
Day 6-8
- CTX-1258AI - Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Support
- An overview of the components, functionality and architecture
of a Citrix® Presentation Server farm. The course includes
information on the server components, management consoles,
client features and security configurations. This course
is a general introduction to the architecture of the product.
Day 9-10
- CTX-1456AI - Citrix Access Suite 4.0: Build/Test Workshop
- Provides student with the knowledge and skills required
to build an enterprise environment in which all components
of the Citrix Access Suite 4 are implemented. The format
of this course is a workshop, which is comprised mainly
of labs. This type of course provides a learner with the
hands-on experience of implementing all Citrix Access Suite
4 products in a single environment.
End of class
Since test-taking is not compulsory, students may take
away up to 4 vouchers with them (Citrix/Unitek only pays for
one attempt per test as part of the package).These vouchers
can be redeemed at testing centers throughout the United States.
Most students leave the facilities Saturday afternoon with
their CCEA certificate.

Students can choose to take the exam during the class. This
is not required, however. If students choose not to test, they
will be provided with the vouher which can be used in testing
centers all over the United States.
Lunch, dinner, Beverages and light snacks are provided in
the classroom (Breakfast is also provided at the hotel for
those choosing the Hotel package)

C.M.
is Unitek's Citrix guru, and teaches all of our authorized courses, combos and accelerated events. He is a Citrix senior engineer and is leading the Citrix infrastructure in design projects, and the lead Citrix technical instructor, for the CCA, CCEA, and CCIA fast track programs, demonstrating a commanding grasp of terminal services and Citrix access technologies. He has been a top certified technical instructor for over ten years, previously from the fields of Novell and Linux networking, and provides a balance of real-world, class, and test preparation in a positive and accessible learning atmosphere. He is one of the handful of Citrix instructors that are certified to teach the CCIA (Architect) track. In addition to his training experience he has held positions for Citrix products such as Senior Systems Consultant and Terminal Services specialist. In addition C.M. has also been Linux certified in SAIR LCP / LCI, & LPI level 1. He has also prepared and implemented Novell system upgrades with his certifications in CNE / CNI -3.x/4.x/5.x. Last but not the least, C.M. holds the Microsoft Certification MCP – NT / 2000.
