Ticketing Information

Travellers may purchase tickets on board the bus. However, tickets may also be bought from several bus stations in the area.

Tram and Metro

A light rail tram line (tranvía) runs between Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar. The journey covers 4.7 Km. More tram lines are planned.

Málaga is also expecting a Metro service to be inaugurated in 2012.

Regional Trains on the Costa del Sol

Málaga province has a rather limited train service, with two local lines (C-1 and C-2). The first leaves from the Málaga Renfe station, operating in the western Costa del Sol region, and the second serves inland areas, leaving from Málaga city. Other cities are more easily reached by road.

Electric train

There is train service every 30 minutes from Málaga Airport to the centre of Málaga and as far as Fuengirola, covering all the major resorts of the Costa del Sol.
