Newly opened, the visitor center gives information on the town's history and medieval fortresses of the region. It is part of the Qannit Fortress, one of the reclaimed medieval sites. It's three floors cover the history from the middle ages, the prehistoric origins and the Roman town of Flavia Sabora built there and weapons used throughout the conflicts. The Lions Club of Nerja hold a Friday Dance Night at the Cafeteria Avenida, in Avenida Pescia (close to the Police Station) from 21:00 to 00:00.
